UST Funding Now Available to Homeowners with Non-Leaking Oil Tanks

Effective Aug. 2, 2006, the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Program provides loans and grants to eligible applicants to help finance project costs for the closure and replacement of a non-leaking residential underground storage tank (UST) on or after August 2, 2006. This funding assistance is available through the EDA. If you are interested in taking advantage of this program, please review the following documents, complete the appropriate paperwork below and forward to the EDA. Bond Financing

The EDA issues conduit tax-exempt private activity bonds, the proceeds of which are used to provide low-interest, fixed-asset loans. Borrowers must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) in order to qualify. Taxable bonds are also available for a wide variety of businesses. Taxable bonds offer similar flexibility in structuring rates and terms but are not subject to the restrictions placed on tax-exempt financing under the IRC. Click here for more information.
